Storm Calming Festival

EVENT NEWS

Storm Calming Festival - blends together all aspects of The Silent Academy’s work; performance, object, publication, augmented online and real world durational experiences. It is an exploration of particle and wave.

Storm Calming Festival is a twenty-one day real world and online exhibition. Commencing with installation of a precisely engineered clock, set five seconds behind time at the Greenwich Observatory.

Twenty-one days later, elsewhere on the shadow meridian, The Silent Academy will reveal a second object - a collection of seven rubber stamps, each carrying a three line expression of minimalist psychedelia describing the Bardo Thodol.

During the Storm Calming Festival the Silent Academy in collaboration with 工工工 will share the most beautiful piece of music in the world.

Some time after the Storm Calming Festival an accompanying installation catalog / extended essay will be printed and sold; containing details of interventions and performances, happening along the shadow meridian, built as a kind of bridge between first and final objects.

Updates and installations will be shared on the
