The archive of sky contains computer-generated hex codes, used to replicated the color of the sky in digital photography. For the duration of the project photographs are taken daily, and their codes are shared online @archiveofsky. Paintings are generated as a response to synthesized versions of the sky.
The practice of making art from synthesized codes is a reflection on man-made constructs, and the beauty of emptiness.
This painting is small. A series of large paintings are being developed. The large paintings will be exhibited in a dark room where audiences will be invited to project their own light onto the work.
Part of the archive of sky project is a new religion, registered with the State. The religion celebrates two tenets: #1 sit beneath the sky, considering the interdependence of all things. #2 try to be kind.
